Why an Adhyāya Structure?

Three movements to hold a single arc

11/12/2024

The Gītā unfolds in deliberate movements. We mirrored that cadence with three Adhyāyas—each one a different atmosphere for the same devotional heart.

  • Adhyāya I invites arrival and breath. Sparse instrumentation, soft bells, and morning light.
  • Adhyāya II deepens into surrender. Call-and-response, tabla undercurrents, and meaning wrapped in melody.
  • Adhyāya III remembers stories. Field recordings, flute at dusk, and echoes of pilgrimage.

This structure keeps the listener oriented while allowing each chant to live in its own room. You can enter anywhere, linger as you wish, and always know where you stand in the arc.
